ADNH Compass Management were delighted to receive an invitation from Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) to attend the Appreciation Certificate Distribution ceremony which was held at the ADFCA headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
ADNH Compass has been commended for its commitment towards the implementation of ADFCA’s “Safety in the Heat Program” organised in co-operation with OSHAD (Abu Dhabi’s Occupational Safety & Health).
Thamer Rashed Al Qasemi (spokesperson for the organisation), said that they are keen to cooperate with their partners and contribute to the awareness of the owners of the establishment of the need to implement the the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Systems; to maintain the safety of workers and reduce occupational health injuries and diseases caused by heat stress. Thamer pointed out that the ADFCA will continue its efforts to honour committed enterprises who work closely together with competent authorities in raising the awareness. Particularly to those who are exposed to the sun during peak times from 12:30 to 15:00 during the embargo period.
After accepting the certificate on behalf on ADNH Compass, Thomas Devasia (HSEQ Manager UAE), said “Safety in the heat program was well implemented across our organisation” and gave credit to his team for their efforts.
Dean Harden (Director of Support Services & FM) commented “Heat stress is something we take seriously in our business and we appreciate the cooperation from the ADFCA in rolling this initiative and the recognition we have received.”
