How Old Was Jack Gleeson In Season 1

So, you're curious about Jack Gleeson's age in the first season of Game of Thrones, huh? Let's dive right in, shall we?

First things first, picture this: it's 2011, the year Game of Thrones first graced our screens. Jack Gleeson, our beloved Joffrey Baratheon, was just a wee lad. Can you even imagine little Joffrey being... well, little?

Now, let's get down to business. In Season 1, Jack Gleeson was a fresh-faced 18-year-old. Yes, you heard it right! The kid who played the most hated character on TV was just a teenager himself. Mind. Blown.

But here's the kicker, folks. Jack was 14 when he auditioned for the role. Can you believe that? The casting directors must've seen something special in that young, innocent face to cast him as the infamous king.

Now, you might be thinking, "But wait, didn't Joffrey seem older?" Well, yes, the character was supposed to be 13, but Jack's acting chops made him seem like a mini-tyrant, didn't they? It's almost scary how good he was at playing such a despicable character.
