First things first, who's Nick Saban?

Well, if you've been living under a rock (no judgment, we all have our moments), Nick Saban is the legendary football coach who's been making waves at the University of Alabama. He's like the pied piper of college football, leading his teams to a whopping 6 national championships.

Alright, so how much is he making at ESPN?

Alright, let's get down to business. According to some savvy sources, Nick Saban is set to make around $7.5 million per year for his new role as an analyst on ESPN's "College GameDay." Now, that's a pretty penny, right?

But hold up, let's put that into perspective. Is that a lot? A little? Just right? Let's find out.

Let's compare the big bucks

First off, let's compare Nick's new salary to his old one. At Alabama, he was making around $9.3 million a year. So, it's a slight pay cut, but who's counting when you're still talking millions?

Now, let's see how Nick's ESPN paycheck stacks up against other big names in the sports broadcasting world. Kirk Herbstreit, his new "College GameDay" co-host, makes around $5 million a year. So, Nick's got him beat by a cool $2.5 million.
