Robert David Hall: The Man, The Myth, The Medical Examiner

Alright, gather 'round, folks. We're about to dive into the wonderful world of Robert David Hall, the man who's been our go-to guy for all things gory and fascinating on our TV screens. You know him, you love him, but let's get to know him a little better, yeah?

From Broadway to Vegas, with a Stop at the Morgue

So, picture this. It's the late '80s, and our man Robert is killing it on Broadway, playing the iconic role of Edna Turnblad in 'Hairspray'. I mean, who wouldn't want to see that? But then, something strange happens. He decides to trade in his sequins for a lab coat and become a medical examiner. Now, that's a career change!

But wait, there's more! Before he became the face of the Las Vegas Coroner's Office, Robert was also a magician. Yes, you heard it right. He was pulling rabbits out of hats and sawing ladies in half. Talk about a versatile guy!

Enter 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'

Now, fast forward to the early 2000s. Robert's hanging up his magician's cape and putting on his best lab coat to play Dr. Albert Robbins, the wise and witty medical examiner on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'. And boy, did he nail it!

For 15 seasons, we watched him dissect bodies, crack jokes, and deliver some of the most memorable one-liners. Remember this gem? "I've seen better corpses than this at a mortuary convention." Classic!

And let's not forget his voice acting skills. He's lent his deep, soothing voice to video games like 'Fallout: New Vegas' and 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3'. Who knew the voice of a medical examiner could be so... tactical?

Did You Know?

Robert's not just a talented actor, he's also a bit of a history buff. He's been known to give tours of the old Las Vegas morgue, sharing stories and secrets from the past. Spooky, right?
