How Old Is Franklin Saint In Season 1

Ever found yourself binge-watching "Snowfall" and wondered, "Just how old is Franklin Saint, anyway?" You're not alone. The show's protagonist, played by the incredibly talented Damson Idris, is a complex character who evolves throughout the series. Let's dive into the timeline of Franklin's life and unravel the mystery of his age in Season 1.

Franklin's Backstory: A Timeline

Snowfall is set in the early '80s, with Season 1 kicking off in 1983. Franklin, our main man, is a young, ambitious high school student living in South Central Los Angeles. He's got big dreams and even bigger plans, but he's also got a tough reality to face. His age is a bit of a puzzle, as the show doesn't drop a specific number. But we can piece together some clues.

Franklin's Age in Season 1

Franklin is introduced as a teenager, but he's no ordinary teen. He's wise beyond his years, thanks to the harsh realities of his environment. He's old enough to be selling crack on the streets, but still young enough to be naive about the true extent of the danger he's in. So, how old is he?

Damson Idris, the actor who brings Franklin to life, was born in 1991. When Season 1 aired in 2017, he was 26. Now, we're not suggesting that Franklin is literally 26 in Season 1. But if we assume that Damson was around 18 when he started playing Franklin, we can estimate that Franklin is likely around 18-20 years old in Season 1.
