How Old Is Lapis From Steven Universe

Hey there, fellow Crystal Gem enthusiast! You've probably been wondering, "Just how old is Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe?" Well, grab a cup of tea (or a fusion dance smoothie) and let's dive into this temporal mystery together, yeah?

Lapis: The Original Wanderer

First things first, Lapis is one of the original Crystal Gems, formed by Rose Quartz eons ago. She's a Homeworld Gem, which means she's been around since the days when the Crystal Gems were still part of the Gem Homeworld. That's right, she's older than the Earth itself!

Now, you might be thinking, "That's all well and good, but how old are we talking here?" Well, let's break it down. The Crystal Gems left Homeworld around 5,000 years ago, and Lapis was part of that crew. So, she's at least 5,000 years old. But remember, she's been around way longer than that. We're talking ancient history here, folks!

Lapis: The Time Traveler

But wait, there's more! Lapis has also spent some time in the future, thanks to her little stint in the Desert Glass. She ended up in the future (our present, that is) and spent around 4,000 years floating around in space. So, when you add that up, Lapis is basically older than dirt. I mean, she's seen civilizations rise and fall, people! That's some serious age right there.

Now, you might be wondering, "How does she look so young?" Well, that's the magic of being a Gem, my friend. They don't age like humans do. Sure, they can get corrupted or shattered, but otherwise, they stay looking as fabulous as ever. It's like the ultimate anti-aging serum, am I right?

Lapis: The Ageless Wonder

So, there you have it. Lapis Lazuli is ancient, like really, really ancient. She's seen more sunrises than I've had hot dinners (and that's saying something, believe me). But you know what? Despite all that time, she's still learning, growing, and finding her place in the world. Isn't that something?

And that's the beauty of Steven Universe, isn't it? It's not just about the action and the adventure, it's about the characters and their journeys. Lapis might be ancient, but she's also a work in progress, just like the rest of us. And that, my friend, is something worth celebrating.

So, the next time you're watching Steven Universe and you see Lapis Lazuli on screen, remember, you're looking at a true survivor, a time traveler, and an ageless wonder. And isn't that just the coolest thing?
